Candidates must:

Be at least 21 years of age in accordance with the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) licensing standards for group homes. | |

Have an undergraduate degree in human services from an accredited school and previous experience. | |
|
Meet child care facility driver requirements in accordance with DCFS. | |
|
Have a valid driver's license, an automobile, and adequate automobile insurance. | |
|
Become certified in CPR and first aid within six months of employment. | |
|
Complete a medical and TB test and provide proof of results. | |
|
Be fingerprinted by the State of Illinois and must submit to a full background check through DCFS. | |
|
Submit official educational transcripts from the last school from which a degree was awarded. | |
| Be able to lift 40 lbs. |
Overnight Worker (Part Time): Boys Group Home
Supervise Boys Group Home residents throughout the night and assist residents within agency policies, procedures and practices to assess their needs.

Candidates must:

Provide educational support and development to residents who are not enrolled or cannot attend school, as well as provide educational enhancement to residents who are able to attend school while in placement. Specific responsibilities include:
|
Providing educational opportunities for group home residents. | |
|
Assessing educational needs for identified residents in placement. | |
|
Developing appropriate assignments that will assist residents in developing learning skills. | |
|
Working with youths on a one-to-one or group basis, as required, to establish and accomplish educational goals. | |
|
Encouraging and motivating youths to develop realistic educational goals. | |
|
Providing advocacy services on behalf of youth in negotiating educational services with local school districts. | |
|
Providing tutorial support to youths already enrolled in school who may need additional help with specific subjects. | |
|
Coordinating | |
| Complying with agency policies and procedures and the Department of Children and Family Services Code of Ethics for Child Welfare Professionals. |
Candidates must:
|
Hold a current secondary teaching certificate from the State of Illinois. A special education degree and an MA in education are desired. | |
|
Have experience working with behavior disordered and learning disordered youth. | |
|
Have a valid Illinois driver’s license and submit proof of Illinois auto insurance. | |
|
Complete a medical and TB test providing proof of results. | |
|
Be fingerprinted by the State of Illinois and submit to a full background check. | |

Submit official academic transcripts from the last school from which a degree was awarded. | |
