If you or a child or adolescent you know are in crisis, Shelter, Inc. has resourceful and compassionate staff available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year to help you locate appropriate services to get you the help you need.
Shelter, Inc. is the only agency of its kind in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago that provides emergency housing for children and adolescents from birth through age 17. Referrals for our services are welcome from:
- Social service agencies
- School or medical staff
- Police departments
- Parents or Grandparents
- Clergy
- Concerned Citizens
- Adolescents (self-referrals)
Children and adolescents receive emergency housing services with parental consent or with other legal permissions.
