Thanks to the efforts of local companies and families, we were able to provide holiday gifts for all the children served by Shelter, Inc. Each child was given a toy and item of clothing on their wish list. This tradition has been a part of our organization for many years and we couldn’t do it without the help of volunteers who purchase and sort all the gifts. Volunteers are a critical part of our work and ensure that we can continue to provide services for a growing number of children and their families.
In addition to receiving gifts for specific children, donations were made of general items for our three group homes and other programs. People generously donated new toiletry items, art supplies, puzzles, games, pajamas, winter coats and much more. Every year we’re amazed at the generosity of our supporters!
