Every Spring, Shelter, Inc. holds a 5K run with over 200 participants. This year’s event will be on Saturday, April 29th at Busse Woods in Elk Grove Village.
For the serious runner, it’s a CARA-certified 5K and for the casual participant you can walk the scenic course. It’s the 11th year for this family-oriented event that includes a bouncy house, kids dash, and activities for the kids. There is ample parking and restrooms available. Pre-run refreshments and lunch are provided.
