We have a new and exciting event we’re participating in this year! It’s the Badass Dash and it will be held at the Sears Center in Hoffman Estates on Saturday, July 8th. Shelter, Inc. is the charity partner for this long-running event that brings obstacle course enthusiasts out to the suburbs. We need volunteers (16 and older with adult supervision) to help at registration, hand out water, check bags, and assist at the obstacles. Shifts are 4 hours and you can choose from:
6:30-10:30amThe majority of volunteers are needed from 6:30-10:30am, so please choose this shift if at all possible. These volunteers will be helping with the elite and recreational divisions that run in the morning.
10am-2pm; The second shift will be helping with the elite awards ceremony and kids dash.
1:30-5:30pm; The final shift will be working with the recreational and kids dash awards ceremony and K9 companion dash. They will also help with cleanup after the event ends around 5pm.
All volunteers will receive a meal and drinks. Discounts are available for volunteers who would also like to run in the race. If you want to participate in the race, you will run in the morning and volunteer for either the 2nd or 3rd shifts.
