On Tuesday, April 12th, a group of Shelter staff joined over 300 advocates from across Illinois at Early Childhood Advocacy Day in Springfield. The purpose was to ask state legislators to protect early childhood funding in the upcoming budget. They spoke with Rep. Fred Crespo and Rep. Greg Harris about how Shelter programs are critical to reducing child abuse and neglect
