We Believe Survivors

At Shelter Youth & Family Services, our mission is to end child abuse, protect children, strengthen families, and transform communities. As we prepare to open our new therapeutic home for survivors of human trafficking, we are reminded of the deep courage it takes for survivors of sexual abuse to share their stories.

The voices of those harmed by Jeffrey Epstein have brought into the light what so often remains hidden in silence. Their strength underscores a truth we must all carry forward: believing survivors is essential to healing and to building a safer future.

Sexual abuse and trafficking cause profound harm, yet survivors are more than their trauma. With the right support, safety, and care, healing is possible. That is why we are committed to providing spaces of dignity, compassion, and hope for young people who have endured the unthinkable.

We stand with survivors everywhere and call on our community to listen, to believe, and to take action. Together, we can build a world where every child is safe, every survivor is supported, and every voice is heard.
